Why do you need an Educational Apostille?
If you are planning to travel to a Hague Convention member country for higher studies, employment, or a long-term visa, your Indian educational documents must be legalized. An Apostille sticker verifies the authenticity of your degree or diploma to foreign authorities.
Which Documents Can Be Apostilled?
- Degree Certificates (B.A, B.Sc, B.Tech, M.A, MBA, Ph.D, etc.)
- Diploma Certificates
- Matriculation (10th) & Intermediate (12th) Mark Sheets / Certificates
- Provisional Certificates
- Transfer Certificates (TC)
- Transcripts
The 3-Step Apostille Process
The legalization of educational documents requires a strict state-level authentication before the final MEA apostille.
Step 1: Notary Attestation
The fundamental checking of your document by a local notary public.
Step 2: HRD / SDM Attestation
HRD (Human Resource Department): Authentication done by the respective state where the degree was issued. Since HRD takes a long time, an alternative is SDM (Sub-Divisional Magistrate) attestation, which is much faster and legally accepted by MEA.
Step 3: MEA Apostille
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, affixes the final Apostille sticker on the back of your original document.
Required Documents for Processing
- Original Certificate: We require the original physical copy of the document to be apostilled.
